Mr. Smith is a portfolio manager and market microstructure expert with over a decade of experience in high-volatility liquid assets, including digital assets since 2017. He began his trading career early, focusing on U.S. equities and derivatives markets as a proprietary trader. Most recently, Mr. Smith worked as a trader and researcher at BlockTower Capital. Currently, he is the CEO and CIO of Baus Capital, a low-latency systematic trading firm specializing in digital assets, where he leads the firm’s expansion, helps oversee research and engineering teams, and directs overall investment strategies.
